Have you ever used, or planned, one of these fund-raisers: Auction, Benefit Concert, Appeal Letter, Banquet/Gala, or a Walk-Run? We at On Par On Purpose have done them all and know from experience that seldom do these fund-raisers provide the potential of a well-executed golf challenge, using the On Par On Purpose plan. And, rarely are any of them quite as fun! Plus, a golf challenge excels at raising friends as well as funds.
Contact On Par On Purpose: We’ll provide a consultation with your Board of Directors and Executive Leadership. The consultation is free of charge except for any travel expenses incurred.

Duane King is the founder of Deaf Missions, a Christian nonprofit that was started in 1966 and incorporated in 1970. He served as Executive Director of that organization for 38 years. In 2008, he resigned as director, but he continues working for Deaf Missions in the areas of public relations and fundraising. Yes, Duane is the father of JD, joyfully serving part-time with JD raising funds and friends for non-profits. Duane’s experience and success with public relations and fundraising, including work with golf outings, is invaluable to On Par On Purpose. Duane states that OPOP is his new passion. Duane enjoys helping faith-based and community-based nonprofit organizations raise funds and friends for their particular missons. Duane knows that those organizations could make a much greater impact with the additional dollars and friends that a golf challenge would provide.
With over 23 years’ experience in the nonprofit arena, JD King brings a sincere desire to see faith-based and community-based nonprofits not just survive, but thrive. His past roles in nonprofits include: development director, business manager, conference director, event planner, marketing consultant, associate minister, worship minister, church planter, festival director, and president. JD’s past experience in fundraising and event planning is the cornerstone of On Par On Purpose and its mission to help nonprofits succeed. JD has a business degree from the University of Iowa, a ministry degree from Nebraska Christian College, and a master’s degree from Cincinnati Christian University. The father of three, JD lives with his wife Tia in Spring Hill, Tennessee.
